Ask someone who professes to be a Christian just why they believe what they believe and you’re likely to get an answer that is something similar to this – “Because it’s in the Bible.”

Q. What does “faith to faith” mean in Romans 1:17?
Romans was written by the inspired apostle Paul to the saints in Rome (Rom. 1:7). Paul desired to come to Rome to be with them but was hindered. He wanted to be encouraged by them and to encourage them. To that end, he explained that he was ready to preach the gospel to them, as he had done elsewhere, for he was not ashamed of the gospel of Christ as it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes.
